i-Sprink
The i-Sprink system is a modern solution in the form of an indoor hydrant connected to its own circuit of a local fixed fire-fighting installation. Its main purpose is to quickly suppress and limit the spread of fires, particularly involving electric vehicles, in public or private communal car parks. The system is also suitable for use in spaces such as bicycle stores where e-bikes and e-scooters are kept, charging stations for handling equipment in warehouse halls, or for protecting individual workstations on production lines.
Thanks to its low water consumption and ability to detect fires immediately and accurately, i-Sprink is exceptionally effective at controlling fires, especially those involving electric vehicles, until the fire brigade arrives. The system thus effectively helps to minimise potential fire damage, including by preventing the rapid spread of fire in critical spaces such as communal car parks.
- Fire control before the fire and rescue service arrives
- Early autonomous local detection with fire location indication within the building
- Connects to the existing hydrant supply without the need for a fire water tank
- Automatic disconnection of the electric vehicle charger in the event of a fire
- Suitable for use in both existing and newly built buildings
- Minimum water pressure 0.2 MPa
- Can be switched to manual fire-fighting mode using a hydrant hose
- Effective cooling of a burning electric vehicle and protection of vehicles in adjacent parking spaces
- Protects the building structure around a burning electric vehicle
- Low investment cost compared with other automatic systems

Gaszenie aut elektrycznych e1681987669710 1024x558 How the i-Sprink system works
The i-Sprink system automatically suppresses fires in electric or hybrid vehicles at an early stage using a local fire-fighting installation. Water is supplied from a standard hydrant installation. Fire detection uses smoke, heat and infrared sensors. Once a fire is detected, the control unit opens a valve that directs water to the nozzles above the endangered parking space. The system also supports manual fire-fighting using the hydrant module. Multiple sets can be integrated and communicate over a data loop.

I Sprink Comparison of a fire of simulated electric vehicles with and without the i-Sprink system System effectiveness guaranteed by a real-world test
On 7–8 December 2022, the iSprink system underwent tests at the Laboratories for Combustion and Explosive Processes of the Research and Scientific Fire Protection Centre named after Józef Tuliszkowski. The test confirmed the system's effectiveness in controlling an electric vehicle fire (a vehicle with a combustion engine and Li-ion cells was used) and its early detection with parking space indication. It was also demonstrated that the system helps reduce the temperature during a fire, allowing the rescue operation to proceed safely.

Iprink gaszenie 1024x575 Automatic fire-fighting mode
A fire alarm is triggered when at least two smoke or heat detectors are activated simultaneously above the protected parking space (e.g. in an underground car park). Optionally, the electric vehicle charging station can be switched off automatically. The alarm is then transmitted to the electric fire alarm system (EPS) and/or the central protection desk (PCO) and/or the building management system (BMS). The relevant section valve opens and the water nozzles above the protected space are activated. The system can optionally be supplemented with optical and acoustic signalling.

Isprink dmp 1024x575 Early detection – Fire location temperature indicator
The fire location indicator is mounted on the ceiling between parking spaces and monitors the temperature in areas intended for charging vehicles with lithium-ion batteries. The detectors are addressable and individually configurable according to installation height and parking space layout. It can precisely determine which parking space the fire is in.

Projekt garazu dla wmp 1024x576 Precise fire location indication with parking space identification
A fire in a car park is always accompanied by dense smoke, which makes it difficult to locate the source. The fire location indicator (WMP) is addressable and assigned to a specific parking space. Once a fire is detected, it sends a signal to the electric fire alarm system (EPS) or the central protection desk (PCO) with the exact parking space number. This allows rescue teams to immediately identify the type and source of the fire and quickly prepare a rescue plan. This significantly shortens the time to direct intervention and reduces the risk when searching for the fire in dense smoke.

Iprink dogaszanie 1024x575 Manual fire-fighting mode (standard hydrant use)
The system is equipped with a hydrant module, which allows it to be used as a standard hydrant. When the hydrant valve is opened, a limit switch is automatically activated, which automatically closes the relevant section valve and cuts off the water supply to the nozzles. This mode can be used for final extinguishing or for cooling a vehicle while it is being moved out of the car park.
