A chain drive set for precise synchronous operation of two drives on a single window element: our KA 34-BSY+ set is exceptionally quiet in ventilation mode and, in the event of fire, opens the window within 60 seconds thanks to the high-speed drive function.

Optional extras

Function programming
The option of configuring drive parameters (e.g. the stroke) individually using software and the related service tools, for drives fitted with PLP, BSY or BSY+ electronics.
BSY+ (drive synchronisation)
BSY+ enables communication and synchronisation between different components in a window. For example, between chain drives in synchronous operation or between window drives and locking drives (e.g. FRA 11 BSY+ or VLD-BSY+).
End position signal (OPEN / CLOSED)
Feedback from the drive via an integrated potential-free switching contact. It is given when the chain drive or linear drive has fully extended or retracted.
Acoustic signal (corresponding to the protection class)
AS2 corresponds to “protection class 2” of the ZVEI risk assessment by means of an acoustic warning signal in the “CLOSED” running direction. AS3 corresponds to “protection class 3” of the ZVEI risk assessment: in addition to AS2, it stops the drive for 11 s with a remaining stroke of 28 mm.
SKS (closing edge protection)
An optional function that allows an “anti-trap” safety edge or a presence detector to be connected directly to the drive (terminating resistor 5.6 kΩ).
SGI signal (position reporting)
In combination with the D+H servo plug-in unit SE 622 or the BSY gateway BSY-GW-024-010-U, drives can be controlled with precise positioning.
BRV signal
Confirmation from the drive, via the control cable, that the drive has fully extended or retracted. When used with the AT 41 and ERM 44 modules, this signal is sent to the central building management system, to the modules themselves or to the locking drive. The BRV signal is not potential-free.
SBD (bendable chain)
The drive chain with a rigid back bends in the direction of the hinges. The drive is fixed in place (it does not pivot).
SBU (bendable chain)
The drive chain with a rigid back bends in the direction of the hinges. The drive is fixed in place (it does not pivot).
