INSULATING FIRE CURTAINS
Category:

They have EI fire resistance, which prevents heat transfer for 15 to 120 minutes. They meet stricter criteria than FK ROLL EW, which is why they are suitable for, for example, separating escape routes. All FK ROLL EI variants have built-in water spraying that is not visible and has a false-alarm safeguard.

Until there is a fire, the curtains are almost invisible. Compared to other fire shutters, FK ROLL textile fire curtains are lighter, smaller and blend into the interior better. We manufacture them only from proven components from Germany.

3 ways to anchor fire curtains

Installation into a structural opening

  • We fit the curtain directly into the opening, for example into a passage between two sections of a hall.
  • This reduces the clear dimensions of the opening by 200 mm on the horizontal axis and by 200 to 270 mm on the vertical axis – depending on the overall dimensions of the specific shutter.
  • The roller shutter can be clad in plasterboard and is almost invisible.

Anchoring the curtain in front of the structural opening

  • Using a steel structure, we fix the curtain to the lintel above the structural opening.
  • This means we do not reduce the clear dimensions of the structural opening. The raised structure is protected against damage, for example from a forklift, and is easily accessible, which makes maintenance easier.

Installation into the ceiling

  • We anchor the curtain to the ceiling so that there is no reduction in the clear height of the opening.
  • So that the curtain is not visible, we install its headbox flush with the suspended ceiling.
  • This is useful, for example, in shopping centres or office buildings, where the fire shutter must not disrupt the appearance of the space.
